You can use it in many processes, if the (meta) data is well available. I see not much limits.

Well suited for change scenario's and rework scenario's.

It is well suited for analyzing historical data and drilling down on data sets to find root causes of inefficiencies. Collaborating with other colleagues by using comments and tasks is also good. Action Flows also help automate repetitive tasks. Celonis is less appropriate for raw data provision and rebuilding SAP transactions.

Celonis is well suited especially for comparably big use cases due to hefty license costs. For thorough analyses, all departments should take part in the approach since there are a lot of hidden influences and effects from departments to one another. Use cases like conformance / revision are possible but will not be a big lever since this only involves checking single instances.

Celonis is very powerful in analyzing process data and process KPIs. It offers possibilities to set up and schedule the data pipeline to update data in near real-time (depending on the Use Case) to make it accessible for operational Use Cases. It can then be linked to automated workflows (Action Flows) by manual or actionable triggers. In a nutshell it can be applied highly aggregated for top management or very detailed for the shopfloor.

So far the most performant tool to handle and interpret large amounts of data.

To get quick insights in business processes Celonis is a great tool. It helps to get us quick data based insights. We use it for ticketing, payroll processes and t&e processes. From the simple clerk to top management everyone can access data to evaluate business decisions. Therefore everyone should use Celonis in your organisation,

Celonis is perfect for all the core processes. It is perfect to show how to generate economic value. There is no evident weakness from my point of view.

P2P/AP process analysis and improvements. They have a lot of exeperience in these processes.

Celonis is appropriate when dealing with a large amount of data and allows users to drill down into many dimensions. (Tableau is more suited for showing aggregated data.)

Celonis provides us quickly with user-friendly and very detailed information about our processes and KPIs, which we can then analyze down to the individual case. This transparency creates a basis for fact-based decision-making. However, it takes a lot of time and resources to add value.

Real-time process mining. Excellent at visually mapping out processes

The industry in which Uniper operates requires strict adherence to compliance regulations, and we need a tool to monitor and ensure compliance throughout our key business processes. Celonis helps us to visualise our process and makes it easier to demonstrate that we are compliant. Uniper also has a culture of continuous improvement and we use Celonis to measure the impact of various process enhancements (such as increased automation) over time.

My enthusiasm has lessened with what I feel have been disappointing sales interactions, unethical and misleading communications, and reduced support. I believe that they focused on landing an account and talking big up front, but that was not sustained, and actions were only taken to maximize their profit and not to do what I feel is right for customer success. I think you should be weary of exponential cost increases and a lack of transparency on long-term costs. Overall I wish I never did business with them.

Celonis is well suited to connect to our company's ERP system. Our current ERP system is over 35 years old and Celonis had no problems connecting and extracting information for our project. The ability to connect to a variety of applications is impressive. In addition to the software, the people really stand out. We always have productive meetings and is something you can't get at a lot of other companies.

Good: Detecting a problem in a process and sending an alert message to remedy it. Comparison with a perfect process model & detection of violations. Easy to create tables, reports, and analyses. Easy to create RPA & any message to help users in their daily tasks

Well suited: for processes that have clear steps within a specific process and where there is a lot of data available. Celonis can then analyze the data to help guide you to the key focus areas and also put a value on the inefficiencies within the process. Less suited: when there is limited data available. In those cases, Celonis is unlikely to cover the full story and could come to incorrect conclusions.

Pro: - You can quickly start with Celonis using the EMS store with its pre-defined analyses. - Usability, user interface - it's easy to understand and to use it - There are standard data models and connectors available for the major business processes - Covers a broad variety of business processes Contra: - Could be stronger in production processes and value stream mapping

Overall our experience with Celonis has been very positive. The tool is well suited for analyzing business processes which are implemented in SAP. The Celonis EMS Store is a great place to start the journey of implementing Celonis across different business areas since it comes with ready to use connectors and applications for the most common processes. If you want to analyze something which is not running out of the standard ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc), it might get a little bit difficult and additional effort is required to map the business processes and the underlying database tables of the systems in order to build your process activities. We had this experience with our IT Ticketing Tool (BMC Remedy) and one open-source ERP (Odoo).

Process mining is well suited. Productivity management is less suited as it is focused on ERP timelines.

Celonis enables business experts to discover and precisely narrow business insights and make data-informed decisions on them. The features for visualizing and discovering details in the real process and context data combined with powerful filtering and slicing features are unprecedented and enable professionals for a playful interaction with the business processes. It allows a fact-based collaboration between different individuals and business units. When synchronized with strategic KPIs and aligned with clear objectives it can really accelerate any business transformation and help connect the dots.

The initial introduction of Celonis together with the process mining consultants and the customer success manager was outstanding. The workshops and their format helped to deliver a successful and on time PoC implementation. The reaction to customer concerns and wished was always positive and the involved Celonis team member did their utmost to even accomodate edgecase use cases which have not been supported in data collection by then. We received a lot of very helpful advice how to embed Celonis and its support / use organizationaly with the right operating model. The handover from the Celonis consultants to the newly established in house team went smoothly and after that the Customer Success Manager did an excellent job to keep us aprised about recent changes and the planned feature roadmap.

Well suited: Must have a motivated organization to explore the business, based on process mining. Applicable to transactional processes (with a lot of events a day) with many activities and systems sources.

Less appropriate: processes with few and infrequent activities. The manual feed of information sources.

Although this is still a work in progress, we are near the end of the project and are extremely excited about what Celonis has been able to provide us. Our data is now centralized in one location and we are able to run reports based on the filters set. We are still working on the notification process but it looks promising.

Celonis is best suited for situations where you know there is an issue but there are hurdles to getting the information together to accurately define the issue. An example would be a process that you know has low/no value add that is highly manual. With Celonis, you can quantify how manual the activity is, the throughput time of the activity, rework rate of the activity, who the actors are, and how much all of this costs the firm. In the past, you would likely need a six-sigma project to run this. Where Celonis is not going to be successful is in any instance where the expectation is that Celonis will solve the problem for you unless you are buying extra Celonis services (which they most certainly have!). While Celonis does have automation capabilities that can potentially reduce the manual effort of low-variability, low/no value add activities, those automations still need to be built. Celonis exposes the opportunities. You need a capable team to support the creation of your dashboards and automation solutions. If you are buying Celonis, your organization is likely already growth-minded and continuous improvement oriented. If you do not believe this to be the case but leadership wants to move in that direction, Celonis can either act as a great change agent tool or a great source of friction and disruption depending on the organizational support you receive. Understanding the strategic initiatives of the organization and the level of buy-in and support are key. I have been very fortunate in this regard.
